SALTIGA LEADS THE WAY

The new Daiwa Saltiga range of rods and reels have been out for just over a year now with fast growing popularity. Anglers all over W.A have been putting this range of "Space Aged" gear to the max with some outstanding results. The most popular size in the range has been the 4000 which is capable of holding 300mt of PE3 braided line, this small pocket rocket can also punch out a massive 10kg of drag pressure which is outstanding for the size of this reel. The new UTD "Ultimate Tournament Drag" has been a proven winner with silky smooth pressure exerted throughout all stages in tug of war battle's.
One of the biggest benefit's with the new Saltiga range of reels is the revolutionary new "Mag Sealed" design which combats saltwater intrusion into the reel by the way of liquefied magnetic fluid blocking any moist substance penetrating its orifice's. This has by far put Saltiga reels at the top of the line when it comes to the ultimate saltwater spinning reel. The biggest problem I used to encounter on trips away were washing your gear down after every use was not possible was the amount of salt getting into my reels causing them to fail during trips, with "Mag Seal" that is now a thing of the past!
The introduction of "Zaion" has also had a huge affect on the design of the reel with the rotor itself being fully made from Daiwa's trademark product. The use of "Zaion" has dramatically reduced the weight of the reels along with solving corrosion issues which at the end of the day will extend the life of your reel. Zaion can be seen on a lot of the latest reels released from Daiwa, its innovative designs like these that put Daiwa as the leading manufacturer of fishing gear in the world.
The new range of Saltiga rods have also incorporated some revolutionary new designs with the latest rod blanks featuring "X Torque Construction" and "3D Cross Wrapping" which completely minimise twisting of the rod whilst fighting fish. When the blanks are made the carbon is wrapped with a left/right 45 degree weave creating a smaller diameter blank for more strength then a traditional style rod blank. The rods are finished with only the best of the best, Fuji titanium frame K guides are used on nearly all of the rods throughout the Saltiga range, not only does the new style guides keep the line closer to the blank creating a nicer action but they almost completely eliminate line wraps on the guides whilst casting.

Not only does the range of rods offer some groundbreaking new features but Daiwa have also highly taken cosmetics into consideration with just the appropriate amount of bling needed to make these rods stand out from the rest. The most popular models to date in the range for W.A anglers have been the 62S and the 71S. The 62S is by far one of the best light jigging rods on the market which offers just the right action for working jigs in the range of 60-150g, it is a one piece blank offering great strength and a very parabolic action. The 71S has been popular for light casting for tailor around the reefs up to big meter long queenfish of the north, capable of throwing up to 45g this rod is a must have for light tackle casting.
We at Tackle HQ have been extensively testing the range of new Saltiga gear since it hit the shelves just over a year ago now and we believe if you want the best then have a good look at what Daiwa has to offer, you will be more than impressed!!
